I'm Amy. Before training as a coach & therapist, and creating Moments for your Mind, I spent 20 years as an actress & producer. Ive always been fascinated by peoples stories - character analysis - the hows & whys which create behaviours & habits.
Combining my acting with my training as a life-coach, and integrative counsellor, I work with my clients using the past to inform the future and untie the knots which are creating feelings of stuckness and behaviours which are not serving them.
About me and my practice
I use an integrative approach, meaning I have a toolbox which ranges from a traditional psychodynamic therapy, looking at methods of communication (Transactional Analysis) to a more holistic mind-body connection outlook (Gestalt).
I also use movement and embodiment in my sessions with some of my clients. Getting in to our bodies, using breath work and guided visualizations to reconnect to our physical selves can be an impactful and powerful way to support a clients journey.
As a working actress as well as therapist, I have a unique understanding of the pressures of being a creative in todays world.
The majority of my clients are female creatives and entrepreneurs looking for someone who can hold space for their processes, and help navigate towards a new way of being.
Experience
I have experience working both in person and online, I also have experience working with clients on 'walk and talk's' where we use the experience and imagery of being outside with nature to guide and inform our sessions.
I also work as a therapeutic coach and women's circle facilitator on well-being and holistic retreats.
